The Olive Convention Centre has become a firm favourite in the Conferencing and Events arena, largely due to its placement within Durban’s Golden Mile and proximity to hotels, beaches and tourist attractions. Since our inception in 2010, we have successfully hosted conferences for some of the largest organisations, both Locally and Internationally.

We originally opened our doors in 2010. Since inception, the Olive Convention Centre has become a firm favourite in the Conferencing and Events arena, largely due to its location within Durban’s Golden Mile and proximity to Hotels, Beaches and Tourist attractions.

 

The Olive Convention Centre boasts amazing conference venues ranging from the Olive Theatre to the Banqueting and Exhibition Hall, Hall of Learning, and a variety of breakaway rooms, meeting rooms and V.I.P. boardrooms.

 

The venue has over 5 000 square metres of convention, exhibition and special event space, consisting of 4 Halls, 9 Meeting venues and 4 Executive rooms. The Olive Theatre seats 1500 Guests whilst the Banqueting Hall can seat over 700 Guests, with the added value of breakaway rooms for plenary sessions and other meetings.  This state-of-the-art, technologically advanced Business and Conference Centre is noted for its amazing acoustics and smart lighting systems and has hosted the likes of internationally acclaimed motivational speaker Robin Sharma, the X-Factor South Africa auditions and Live shows, and a large contingent of Corporate and Government events.
